Palmy is back with a new single titled ‘Kwan Aei Kwan Ma’ in 2020 after the release of ‘Heart‘ in 2019. The new single went viral in just 24 hours with over 3 million views on Youtube. In my opinion, this is one of the most unique songs performed by Palmy with nice soft rock with soft drum beats, electric guitar, and Palmy’s smooth vocal reminiscent of the love story of the song.
Kwan Aei Kwan Ma music video tells a story about love, rituals, and belief, as seen in the music video. As I read on other blogs, The music video’s story tells through a young woman’s family who saw her sitting in sorrow, unable to eat, and could not sleep and took her to the ritual of ‘Shon Kwan‘ to collect the lost ‘kwan‘ back. Her family then takes her to a place where she has good memories.
In traditional Thai beliefs, “kwan” is an invisible spirit that lives within each person and which are responsible for psychological and spiritual well-being
Keep watching the music video until the end as Palmy made an appearance at the end of the MV, just the same as her other music videos.
Although I don’t completely understand the meaning of this Thai song title, the music really gets into my head and makes me want to listen to it repeatedly as it is quite melodic and dreamy. Now, enjoy the new song and music video!
